Richard Thomas Biernacki is Founder and Minister General of the Brotherhood. He is a member of the Association of Anglican Musicians and the American Guild of Organists, and an honorary canon of the Diocese of Honduras. He is a Knight of the of the Order of the Orthodox Knights Hospitaller of Saint John of Jerusalem.

John Nidecker (Born March 30 1913, Professed November 22 1976, Died June 20,1988), a retired White House staffer, was a tireless servant in the church and the Brotherhood. He was formative in the creation of the Vestment Exchange, The Servant, and in the educational program of the community.

 

James Teets is the Brotherhood’s Treasurer and Director of Public Relations and also serves as Master of Ceremonies, and an appointed member of Council. He made his First Profession of Vows in 1977. He assists at Saint James' Fordham, the Bronx, as well as holding the position of Deputy Inspector of Elections for the Diocese of New York. He is an honorary canon of the Dioceses of Honduras and Liberia, a Member of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, and of the Society of Catholic Priests. He is a member of the Board of Managers of the Bible and Common Prayer Book Society of The Episcopal Church. After serving for almost 24 years at the Episcopal Church Center in New York City on the staffs of three Presiding Bishops, he retired at the end of 2009. His career was in the field of missiology

 

Luke Anthony Nowicki is a member of Mount Calvary Episcopal Church, Camp Hill, Pennsylvania, where he serves as a Eucharistic Minister and sometimes leads Quiet Days, assists with Tuesday Evening Prayer and at times leads Bible Study.

John Peter Clark (Born March 28 1950, Professed September 13 1981, Died February 25 1994) served the Cathedral Church of Saint John the Divine in New York City for many years as verger. He was employed as a social worker for the City of New York.

 

William Francis Jones is the editor for the Morehouse liturgical calendars, and is a member of the Church of Saint Mary the Virgin, New York City.

 

Stephen Storen is a member of Saint Ignatius in New York City, where he is active in a number of parish ministries. He is head of regulatory compliance of the distribution arm of the asset management sector of a large financial services firm. He is an Officer of The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem and a member of the Priory Chapter. He is a trustee of the Church Club of New York and serves on the boards of the Federation of Protestant Welfare Agencies, the New York City Mission Society, the Saint George's Society of New York, the Bible and Common Prayer Book Society, The British Schools and Universities Foundation and on the Advisory Council of the Anglican Observer to the United Nations.

Thomas Joseph Ross (Born July 5 1943, Professed January 2 1982, Died December 18 2001) served as Minister Provincial in the midwest, and as a Deacon in the Diocese of Southern Ohio, and an accounting officer for CHrist Church Cathedral, Cincinnati.

 

Tobias Stanislas Haller is Vicar of Saint James Fordham, The Bronx, a Deputy to General Convention and member of the Standing Committee of the Diocese of New York. He is an Officer of The Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem, a contributor to The Chicago Consultation, and Chair of the House of Deputies Study Committee on Chuch Governance and Polity. He serves the Brotherhood as Secretary and Publications Coordinator. He is an iconographer and composer, and his book, Reasonable and Holy, was published in March 2009 by Seabury Books. He was appointe as a member of the Anglican Communion's Continuing Indaba and Mutual Listening Process Reference Group in August 2009.

William Bunting — (Born March 25 1931, Professed September 12 1982, Died October 12 1988) was a long-time member of Saint Andrew's, The Bronx. He served as the Minister Provincial for Province II. He was a career empolyee at Saks Fifth Avenue.

 

Charles Kramer (Born May 25, 1935, Professed September 16, 1984, Died October 23, 2006) was first linked with the Brotherhood as a Companion (Associate) and later entered the community as a brother. Charles retired from a finance career in the mid-90s and devoted his retirement to a variety of interests including parish work at Saint Matthew’s, Woodhaven, Long Island, and leadership in the fraternity of the Masons.

Bernard Fessenden (Born November 12 1946, Professed March 9 1985, Died August 10 1993) is remembered in the ongoing work of Fessenden Recovery Ministry, a residential facility for men in recovery. He served in the Diocese of Massachusetts.

 

Edward Munro retired at the end of 2004 from his service as Episcopal Port Chaplain in Baltimore, Maryland. He serves as Deacon at Saint Christopher's in Linthicum Heights MD, as Province III Consultant to the Companion Diocese Network, and as a Jubilee Ministry Site Visitor. He is one of two Chapter Representatives to the Brotherhood's Council.

 

Donovan Aidan Bowley retired from the Drinking Water Program of the Department of Environment Protection in Massachusetts and now lives in Maine, where he is an active member of Saint Thomas, Camden. He is involved with EFM, intercessory prayer, parish hospitality, and outreach.

 

Edward Riley (Born March 5 1940, Professed March 12 1988, Died September 15 2005) was the first priest to join the Brotherhood of Saint Gregory. He served in Europe and the Diocese of Chicago, and as a member of the Brotherhood Council and as Director of Education. After retiring from parish ministry he continued to work as a pastoral counselor.

 

Christopher Stephen Jenks is the Executive Director of Fessenden House, a group home in Yonkers, New York, for men in recovery from severe drug and alcohol addiction who are also dealing with severe medical problems and/or psychiatric disorders.

 

Ciarán Anthony DellaFera is a medical student (Class of 2012) at UMass Medical School in Worcester. Ciarán is a former IBM Distinguished Engineer and member of the IBM Academy of Technology. He worships and serves at the altar at Church of The Advent, Boston..

 

Damian-Curtis Kellum (Born August 25 1932, Professed August 4 1990, Died October 9 2007) served as Court Appointed Special Advocate for abused and neglected children (CASA) for the 20th Judicial Circuit in Arkansas, and on the board of directors of Dove House, a woman's shelter, on the Hot Line and as liason to the Department of Human Services.

 

Richard John Lorino is a Board Certified Chaplain and Director of Pastoral Services at White Plains Hospital Center. He serves as Organist and Choirmaster at Saint John's, South Salem NY. In 1992 he founded The Agapé Fund to provide emergency financial assistance to persons living with HIV/AIDS throughout the lower Hudson Valley, and in 1995 he founded Fessenden House in Yonkers to provide housing for men living with HIV/AIDS. He serves the community as Minister Provincial of Province 2.

 

Ronald Augustine Fox is the Director of Vocations for the Brotherhood. He is the senior Master of Ceremonies at Church of the Atonement, Chicago, and serves on the vestry. He is the Executive Assistant to the Dean, as well as to the Vice President for Advancement and Administration, at Seabury-Western Theological Seminary in Evanston IL.

 

Maurice John Grove retired from a long career in sales and hospitality and now lives in the Philippines, where he assists the local village community in small-scale economic development. He is active with the church and helps spread "the Gregorian Way" in the South Pacific.

 

Charles Edward LeClerc is currently Deacon in Residence at Saint Paul's, Concord, NH. His primary ministry is to the continuum of nursing care to a geriatric population.

 

Virgilio Fortuna is on the vestry of Ascension, Fall River MA, and serves as a Eucharistic Minister there. He works at Brockton Hospital as a Nursing Assistant in the outpatient department, which provides free clinical care to people unable to afford a doctor. He is Minister Provincial of Province 1, and a postulant for ordination to the diaconate.

 

Gordon John Stanley is Deacon at Saint Peter’s, Chicago. A retreat leader, author and teacher, he has conducted Bible Study and Lenten retreats at many Chicago-area churches. He is a fundraising advisor for the Children’s Home and Aid Society of Illinois, the Evanston Children’s Center and Interfaith House. A member of the Ecumenical Network for the Diaconate, he participates in ongoing discussions on the role of the diaconate in the ELCA and the United Methodist Church.

 

Karekin Madteos Yarian lives in San Francisco and is Minister Provincial for Province 8. He provides Spiritual Direction and at his parish he is a Liturgical Planner and occasional preacher. He works as a consultant for Church Publishing Incorporated in liturgical software development. He is also a member of the Board of the Recycled AIDS Medicine Program (RAMP) which provides donated HIV medications to clinics in the developing world, including Central Africa, Mexico and Chile.

 

William David Everett serves the community as Director of Postulants and Novices. He has recently relocated to Boston and is "parish shopping." He is the Director of the Guild of Boston Artists.

 

Thomas Bushnell is a member of St Mark's in Glendale CA, and a recipient of the PhD from UC Irvine. He works as a computer programmer in Los Angeles., and occasionally teaches philosophy at local colleges. He serves as the Brotherhood's Director of Education.

 

Thomas Mark Liotta is the Brotherhood's Administrator, arranging and coordinating all the community’s official meetings and Convocations. He is the Music Director and Deacon at Saint James’, Goshen NY and Spiritual Care Counselor for Hospice of Orange and Sullivan Counties.

 

James Mahoney is Director of The Nyack Public Library in Rockland County NY, pursuing a career that he began in high school. He is a graduate of Pratt Institute (MLS) and Manhattan College (MA Religious Studies). A board member of his local Rotary Club, he has chaired their campaign for participation in the international Rotary Foundation. At Saint James' Goshen NY he teaches adult education courses. He is the Brotherhood’s Archivist and Representative to the National Association of Episcopal Christian Communities (NÆCC).

Patrick Ignatius Dickson (Born March 17 1938, Professed July 23 1999, Died July 20 2005) served until his death at Fessenden House, a group home in Yonkers, New York, for men in recovery from severe drug and alcohol addiction.

 

Robert James McLaughlin has served in many capacities at Epiphany, Ventnor NJ, He is presently chair of the Stewardship Committee, member of the Finance Committee, Director of Acolytes and Sacristan. He is also a member of the Health Cabinet, an arm of the Parish Nurse Program serving the parish and community. He is a Eucharistic Minister and Master of Ceremonies at parish liturgies. He is the Secretary/Treasurer of the Atlantic Convocation, a delegate to Diocesan Convention and a delegate to the Atlantic Convocation.He serves the Brotherhood as one of Chapter's two Council representatives and as Cellarer.

 

Peter Budde is recently relocated to Austin TX. He serves the Brotherhood as Director of Associates and as a member of the Education Committee.

 

John Henry Ernestine is a project coordinator for home renovations and decorative arts, working with one of Manhattan’s larger home decorating companies. He is a member of Saint Clement’s, Belford NJ, and is active in several ministries there.

 

Francis Sebastian Medina is a Chaplain at San Francisco General Hospital. He is a member of Saint John the Evangelist, where he volunteers in the office, serves as an Acolyte and Eucharistic Minister, and as coordinator of the Pastoral Care Team.

 

Ælred Bernard Dean is Minister Provincial for Province 4. He is a member of Epiphany, Atlanta, where he serves on the Liturgical Committee. He has also created a Gregorian Spirituality Experience at the parish, consisting of a weekly gathering for Evening Prayer, a simple common meal, Lectio Divina, spiritual readings and chanted Compline. He is also a volunteer at the Open Door Community, part of the Catholic Worker movement taking Matthew 25:35-45 as their call to ministry.

 

Joseph Basil Gauss is a Registered Nurse working in a Telemetry Unit at Rush North Shore Hospital in Skokie IL. He co-chairs the Parish Health Outreach at the Church of the Atonement in Chicago, as well as serving liturgically.

 

Mark Andrew Jones is completing his seminary studies at Sewanee, in preparation for ordination to the transitional diaconate.

 

Emmanuel Williamson is priest in charge of Church of the Redemption in Southampton PA.

 

Richard Matthias, a retired Colonel in the U.S. Army, has finished a year teaching at an Episcopal prep school in Pennsylvania. He lives and works in Massena NY at "River Respite Benedictory" — a pastoral retreat center on an island in the Saint Lawrence River — with his wife Nancy, a Lutheran pastor.

 

William Henry Benefieldis Clinical Assistant Professor of Psychiatry at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio and a Clinical Psychopharmacologist. He is an Officer of the Most Venerable Order of the Hospital of Saint John of Jerusalem. He is a member of the Church of the Atonement in Chicago and currently an aspirant for Holy Orders in the Diocese of Chicago.

 

Nathanael Deward Rahm is Organist-Choirmaster and Administrative Assistant at Saint Peter's, Chicago, and is one of the Community's organists. He serves on the Diocese of Chicago Treble Festival Committee and the steering committee for the Leadership Program for Church Musicians Serving Small Congregations (LPM). He is the Brotherhood's Minister Provincial for Province 5.

 

Thomas Lawrence Greer, a lifelong native of Nashville, is a Registered Nurse currently working as Staff Nurse on the Cardiac Step-Down unit at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. His parish is Saint Ann's, where he serves as Acolyte, Altar Guild member, Chalice Bearer, Room in the Inn, Sunday Lunch Program, and leads and instructs the Anglican Rosary. He is a current Student Parish Nurse through Concordia University-Wisconsin and an Associate member of the International Order of Saint Luke the Physician and member of Christian Nurses Fellowship. He is the Brotherhood's Convocation Infirmarian..

 

Enoch John Valentine is Senior Sacristan, and Facilitator of the Pastoral Care Committee at Saint John's Cathedral in Providence RI. In addition he is organist and choir director at Saint Matthew's Roman Catholic Church and at Swan Point Cemetery.

 

Ron Fender is the Outreach Case Manager at the Chattanooga Community Kitchen, an ecumenical, comprehensive service provider to the homeless and impoverished community of Chattanooga TN. He serves as Site Manager at the Family Housing and Learning Center, a transitional home for families in crisis. He attends Saint Paul's Church where he serves as a lay reader.

Michael Elliott retired from fulltime ministry in 2002. He works internationally as a consultant in the design and delivery of programmes of theological education, a role which has involved him in projects in Asia and Africa and currently with the Newcastle School of Theology for Ministry in Australia..

David Luke Henton is Clinical Assistant Professor and Field Director for the School of Social Work at Texas State University. He is a Lay Reader, Eucharistic Visitor, and member of the Monday Night Prayer Group at Saint James in Austin, and is also active in numerous peace and justice organizations. He is the Brotherhood's Chapter Representative for Continuing Education Grants.

David John Battrick studied in Oxford, England, was ordained as a priest in the Anglican Diocese of Perth, Western Australia and is currently the Diocesan Ministry Development Officer in the Diocese of Newcastle, New South Wales. He combines this role with being the Programme Director of the Newcastle School of Theology for Ministry and the Co-ordinating Priest for the rural Parish of Murrurundi. He is also the Honorary Associate Priest of the city-centre Parish of Merewether. He is married to Luisa and has four young sons: Isaac, Malachi, Joshua and Nahum.

Will Harpest is a member of the Church of the Atonement, Chicago, where he serves as a member of the vestry and as an Acolyte, Usher, and Soloist. By profession he is an educator, having taught elementary students for over 30 years.

Novice Bo Alexander Armstong is a communicant at Saint Thaddaeus Episcopal Church in Chattanooga and serves as Lay Preacher, Eucharistic Visitor, and Lector. He is married to Lynn and has two sons, Christopher and Devon. He is also the very proud grandfather of Adelaide. He works as an IT professional in the Chattanooga area.

Novice Francis Jonathan Bullock is a member of Saint Paul’s Indianapolis where he is a member of the choir and a Lay Eucharistic Minister. He is currently pursuing an MA in counseling psychology. His future aspirations are to work for a non-profit as a licensed mental health counselor. He has worked as an AmeriCorps volunteer and case manger for an Indianapolis homeless day shelter. His spouse is an ordained UUA minister currently working for a Quaker Meeting.

Novice Blane Frederik van Pletzen-Rands, from the Diocese of Utah and the Cathedral of Saint Mark, Salt Lake City, is a native of Bulawayo, Southern Rhodesia, now Zimbabwe. He has lived in South Africa (where he served in the South African Defence Force during Apartheid), England (serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints), and Hawáií (teaching at Brigham Young University). His husband Scott works at the Episcopal Church Center in NY in Advocacy: Gender Equality, Racism, Poverty, Environmental Stewardship and International Peace-making. They live in Chelsea, where Blane is in his final year of study for Holy Orders at the General Theological Seminary, under Bishop Carolyn Tanner Irish. Their daughter, Esmé, recebtkt moved to New York after completing her studies in Broadcast Journalism at the University of Utah.

Novice Tikhon Pethoud attends Saint John the Evangelist, San Francisco, where he is a Liturgical Minister and a Lay Eucharistic Visitor. He also serves on the Altar Guild and as a member of the SJE Pastoral Care Team. He works as a wedding photographer.

Novice James Patrick Hall is a Mechanical Designer for a small firm in Tulsa OK. His parish is Saint. Patrick's where he has been Outreach Committee chair, Sunday School teacher, and helps with the Catechumen class. He has also been involved with Tulsa's Interfaith Youth Committee, Contemplative Outreach of Tulsa, Hospice volunteering and Tulsa's Emergent Cohort.

Postulant Eric L Turner is a member of Christ Church Cathedral in Nashville. He is a member of The Society of King Charles the Martyr and webmaster for Province IV of the Brotherhood. He works as a paralegal for a downtown Nashville law firm.
Postulant Millard S Cook is Executive Assistant to the Rector of Saint Bartholomew’s, New York. He was a Benedictine monk of Saint Vincent Archabbey in Latrobe PA, and served for 12 years as a Roman Catholic priest (mostly in the Archdiocese of New York). He has also worked as an educator, and as a technical support trainer and technician for relational databases. He describes his reception into the Episcopal Church by Bishop Catherine Roskam as one of the most meaningful experiences of his adult life. He is an avid amateur photographer, reader, and music lover.
